How to Join Photo Nite (For Photographers - English)

Dear Photographers and Photo Nite-goers 

 

It’s now really EASY for you to join PHOTO NITE as a photographer! Over 200 people will attend and some great photos have been submitted…

 

There are now three simple ways to join PHOTO NITE on 6/9 at Roppongi 57, where 100 photographers explore the theme of Japanese youth culture… We’ve extended the deadlines until Monday, and allow any size photo to put on the walls, which will then be auctioned with 50% of the proceeds to you, and 20% to ISEP’s green charity…

 

1) Email us one of your photos related in some way to Japan youth culture theme … if you can’t print it or can’t come yourself. We’ll print it and put it on the wall for you.

2) Bring your printout of one of your photos when you come to the 6/9 event. We can add it to the wall anytime before 9pm. (Entrance is 1000 yen if you’ve registered as attending on our website event pages, 1500 yen if not.)

3) Show and talk about your photos generally on any theme for five minutes (We have internet connection, PCs and projectors to show your photo website. OR bring slideshow on DVD, CD-ROM, chip…etc) Sign up to give a 5 minute presentation beforehand, or just take an empty slot if still available on the night.

 

The event will be very casual and fun… let’s enjoy a creative and inspiring evening together catching up with people and making new friends in the photography biz…

STANDARD APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR 6/9 PHOTO NITE

 

Here’s instructions on how to apply to do the following things:

1)       Show one photo on the theme of Japanese youth culture (Chance to win an a award by audience vote, and half the money back from our charity auction. We print it for you for free at A2 or smaller size if you transfer us the data by Sun 6/8)

2)       Give a short or longer presentations on any photo-related theme using a projector. A) Short 5 minute mini-presentation showing many of your photos, with 5 mins Q&A . or  B)  Longer 15 minute keynote presentation on some interesting topic, including your photos, with 15 mins Q&A.

 

Please apply online as follows:

1)       For the photo exhibition, register your photographer profile on the Photo Biz main website: http://www.photobiz.ning.com/ (if you haven’t already). Then, fill out the application and submit your low-res photo image at the event site, http://photonite9june08.ning.com. Once we approve it, you can send your high res image for printing.
